Celebrities are real people with real feelings who die just like everyone else. While we don’t know many of them personally, they still touch our lives in ways we don’t realize, and regardless of their fame, status, or accomplishments, they still symbolize the human experience and emotions. And when they die too young, the feeling of loss intensifies. But even though they died young, they still left behind an immense amount of work and talent. Their lives were short, but their legacies live on. Let’s pay tribute to them.
Naya Rivera
Naya Rivera was an amazingly talented individual, starting at a young age. She started in commercials and quickly transitioned to TV shows. She later starred in the hit TV show Glee as Santana Lopez. Fans loved her, and she received award after award for her achievements. At the same time, Rivera was signed to Columbia Records as a solo musical artist.
On July 8, 2020, Naya Rivera and her four-year old son went boating on Lake Piru. Another boater found Rivera’s son by himself in the boat an hour after their rental boat was supposed to be returned. Ventura County Sheriff’s Office declared Rivera dead the following day. It wasn’t until July 13 that her body was confirmed to be Rivera.
Kobe Bryant
The tragic news of Kobe Bryant’s death was confirmed on January 26, 2020. The NBA athlete and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna died on impact after their helicopter went down while en route to a basketball game.
Princess Diana
Princess Diana had a life filled with glamor, style, and grace. She was an icon who stood for virtue and integrity. On August 31, 1997, Diana was killed in an automobile accident. Her boyfriend Dodi Fayed and their driver Henri Paul were also declared dead at the scene.
Michael Jackson
Michael Jackson was more than just an eccentric superstar. His music moved people from all around the world like no artist before him. Many will never forget his great moonwalk dance or the catchy tunes of Beat It and Billie Jean. His unfortunate death was mourned by millions all over the world following his death on June 25, 2009. Although he had his troubles in life, his talent and influence cannot be taken away by death.
